Give your Health and Fitness Program a Boost
February 2006
by Ken Savage, DC
Spring is the best time of year to give your health and fitness program a boost. Now that the holidays have past, the weather is getting warmer and the days are getting longer, we are back in a solid school and work routine. With tax season is just around the corner, we realize that we're done with holiday spending, so the time is right to boost your fitness routine. Hire that personal trainer, add a day or two on to the gym routine or take advantage of the day light and go out for the morning or evening walk.Start reducing the sugar and extra starchy carbohydrates in the diet and replace it with fresh fruit and vegetables and lean meat protein. Increase your water consumption; simply replace jusices and caffeine with water. Schedule that massage we've talked about. Join that Pilates or yoga class or get that exercise DVD or tape that you want. It's time and there's no better time to begin than now.
We're here to help you boost your health and fitness routine. Here are some actions you can begin to boost your fitness routine:
- Contact any of the doctors at our office to run by any questions you have about your health, wellness and fitness programs.
- Contact Max-Wellness Fitness Center for questions on exercise, proper eating or to inquiry on how they can help you with Personal Training
- Attend our Body Balance Nutrition Workshops. You can find out how to boost your body with the best supplementation plan ever! Check with April at the front desk for the Body Balance Nutrition Workshop schedule.
- Make a fitness or health goal for yourself, such as join a gym, lose some weight by summer, lower your cholesterol without the dangerous drugs, increase your cardiovascular exercise and lean out your diet, get your family out to walks in the evening; purchase a health book to read and ask us about any good books in this area; plus many more lifestyle changes that you can make.
Yours in health,
